When was Ten Peaks formed?
Formerly the Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Income Fund (the Fund), Ten Peaks became a publicly traded company on January 1, 2011 through an arrangement agreement with Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Company. Under the arrangement, the Fund was converted to a corporation, with unitholders of the Fund receiving one common share of Ten Peaks in exchange for each unit of the Fund held at the time of conversion.
Why did management decide to convert the Fund to a corporation?
The Fund was converted to a corporation in response to changes to the taxation of income funds which became effective on January 1, 2011 and which made the income fund form of business enterprise less advantageous.
Where are Ten Peak’s common shares traded?
Our shares are traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) under the symbol TPK.
How many shares are currently outstanding?
Currently, there are 6,675,254 common shares outstanding.
What is your dividend policy?
Ten Peaks pays a quarterly dividend of $0.0625 ($0.25 per annum) per share. Dividends are paid in January, April, July and October. This dividend policy is subject to the discretion of our Board of Directors, who will periodically review the dividend level based on a number of factors, including Ten Peaks’ financial performance, future prospects and capital requirements.
Can US-based investors buy Ten Peaks?
Yes. Shares are traded publicly on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSE).
What about investment eligibility?
Our shares are eligible for investment under the usual Canadian statutes and for RRSPs, RRIFs, RESPs, RDSPs, DPSPs and TFSAs and are not considered foreign property under such plans.
Does Ten Peaks offer a Dividend Reinvestment Plan?
Not at this time. Investors interested in purchasing additional shares at the current market price can do so through their broker.
